Our team installed Soma Optima printing equipment in the city of Satara, Maharashtra state.
Task
A European manufacturer delivered a Soma Optima 1 machine to a printing house in the Indian city of Satara. Our objective was to carry out the installation of this complex flexographic printing equipment and prepare it for commissioning.
Solution
The machine was delivered to the site in separate modules. The scope of supply included the printing unit, print inspection section, unwinder, rewinder, drying unit, overhead frames for the unwinder and rewinder, and pumps—with a total weight exceeding 30 tonnes. Assembly had to be carried out using equipment provided on-site by the customer.
The installation of flexographic printing presses requires specialist knowledge and proven experience. For this reason, the Czech manufacturer engaged the specialist installation team from 100 TONN.KZ — specialists who have completed dedicated SOMA training and have several dozen SOMA machines already installed worldwide.

Result
The specialists at 100 TONN.KZ installed the Soma Optima 1 printing press to a high standard and prepared it for launch. This enabled the European client to cut costs on Asian operations and commission the equipment faster at the customer’s site.
