In June 2016, the company “100 TONN MONTAGE” carried out unloading, de-preservation, large-scale assembly, and installation on vibration supports of four Wartsila gas generator units in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
By utilizing the GP500 gantry system, the general contractor was able to begin equipment installation after the building’s load-bearing steel structures were in place, while simultaneously starting the installation of sandwich panels. This technology significantly reduced the overall project timeline.
The engineers at 100 TONN implemented an innovative technical solution to further accelerate the process.
Before the transport trailer moved in for unloading, a section of the portal guide (rails) was dismantled. After lifting the cargo and the trailer’s exit, the guide section was reinstalled, and the portal moved along it with the cargo. The project’s complexity lay in the simultaneous execution of construction and installation works on site, as well as the precise positioning of the gas generator units on vibration supports with a tolerance of 1 mm.
Thanks to careful project planning, experience with Wartsila equipment and teamwork, 100 TONN MONTAGE perfectly managed to complete the work on schedule.
